Who We Are
At the International Apostolic Ministries Hosanna Church of Toowoomba (IAMHC), we are a community dedicated to following Jesus, glorifying God, and serving our city and beyond. Rooted in faith and love, we strive to be a welcoming space where individuals and families can grow spiritually, build meaningful connections, and find hope and purpose.
Our History
Our story began in Vancouver in 1886, when a small group of Baptists saw the growing need for a church in the city. What started as a humble effort has grown into a thriving community of believers. In Toowoomba, IAMHC continues this legacy, serving as a beacon of faith, worship, and service for our congregation and the wider community.
Our Beliefs
IAMHC is grounded in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments and embraces the following core doctrines:
- The sovereignty, love, and grace of God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – in creation, providence, revelation, redemption, and final judgment.
- The divine inspiration, trustworthiness, and supreme authority of Holy Scripture in matters of faith and conduct.
We are passionate about sharing the Gospel, living out our faith, and equipping individuals to follow Jesus in practical and meaningful ways.
What We Value
As a church community, we are guided by values that reflect our faith and commitment to Jesus:
- Worship: Honoring God through heartfelt worship that glorifies Him.
- Preaching: Proclaiming Jesus and the message of His Kingdom.
- Community: Building relationships shaped by God’s grace, truth, and tangible care.
- Prayer: Living a lifestyle rooted in prayer and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
- Generosity: Demonstrating radical generosity as an expression of God’s love.
